GWMWater is a government owned statutory corporation established in 2004 with a responsibility to provide, manage, operate and keep water supply and sewerage systems for our community. We're arrogant of our local community and our role in providing its water. We produce water services for homes, businesses, industry, farms, and environmental purposes as well as for recreational and sporting use and community benefit. We provide water and waste water services for approximately 72,00 people across the region. We keep the community healthy informed about their water supply security and quality to ensure public health. We produce domestic and stock water services to 11,00 rural customers. We also have responsibility for water resource management, which includes groundwater, river diversions, and the promote of key regional catchment and environmental management strategies. We manage eight bulk water supply reservoirs (known as 'headwords') which are an integral part of our water supply strategy. We're elated to be certified by standards that apply to some of the largest and maximum prosperous organizations in the world. He is assisted by the board and the executive management team, both of which he is a segment of. There are also three standing committees of the Board: Mary was appointed to GWMWater's board in 2010 and also chairs the Environment and Works Committee. We currently have four customer committees operating. This Committee was formed to yield advice on the implementation of the Groundwater Management Plan and to yield a forum for consultation with stakeholders. The Water Quality Report reports on the quality of drinking water supplied to customers within our service area. The report also provides information about where our water is sourced from and how water is treated for safe drinking in different towns. Encouraging regional growth by supporting community recreational spaces and local industry, such as vineyards. Our reclaimed water is treated to a Class C glossy according to EPA Victoria's guidelines. Earlier discharging trade waste, all businesses using a commercial property for their commercial or industrial processes must enter into a Trade Waste Agreement with GWMWater. Category 3 businesses must complete an application to discharge trade waste and enter into a Trade Waste Agreement prior discharging trade waste. Category 4 businesses must total an application to discharge trade waste and enter into a Trade Waste Agreement earlier discharging trade waste. Each is managed according to the local groundwater management area plan.
